The second Technical Writer Get-together was held 14 June at Bubbles Cafe-Bar-Dining.

There was good attendance yet again by interested Technical Writers from across the many industries that Queensland writers support.

Many people commented that it was the first time they had actually got together with other Technical Writers outside their company.

Get with the strength! Tell a fellow tech writer about our group!

Even though the Dalai Lama was in town enlightening people and the State of Origin was on TV exciting people, we still had 12 people turn up for the event.

The event is spreading through word-of-mouth quite fast throughout Brisbane, which is great to see. It makes the task of organising the meetings more rewarding when we see new faces at each meeting as a result of referrals.

Bubbles Cafe-Bar-Dining looked after us very well with delicious dips, breads, and gourmet pizza. You could actually play a game of Jenga with the dip platter - very nicely presented. The pizzas were delicious, with the Tandoori pizza a firm favourite. Thanks again to GijimaAst for sponsoring the food.

What's next

The next gathering is in August

Depending on the feedback we receive from participants we might be changing the day, the format, or even the locale of the event so, if you are interested in participating but can never make it on Wednesdays, please get in contact with Jared Morgan or Hamish Blunck if you haven't already responded to the email questionnaire.

Looking forward to seeing even more of you in August. Keep those referrals coming. We know that there are more of "us" out there.
