A case study - Creating E-Learning from PowerPoint
Charles Cave
Technical Courseware Developer,
Integrated Research
Do you have the challenge of developing E-Learning material but don't know where to start or which tools to use?
Charles Cave works for Integrated Research, the maker of the PROGNOSIS system monitoring products. Product
training has traditionally been delivered in a class room or at the customer site.
In late 2007, a project commenced to convert some of this classroom material into a suite of E-Learning modules
for deployment over the Web.
In this presentation, Charles describes the development process of producing
E-Learning using PowerPoint and Articulate, as well as Adobe Captivate, for screen captures. Charles recorded the
voiceovers and edited with the free Audacity audio editor.
He will discuss the challenges of writing for the ear and how to record narrations inexpensively.
